Freedom Florence Recreation Complex
Freedom Florence contains 9 lighted state-of-the-art tournament softball/baseball fields, 4 multipurpose football/soccer fields, an 11,600 square foot Gymnastics Center, a five-acre lake, picnic are and shelter, walking/jogging trails.  Directions:  From I-95 heading North: Take exit 157 (US Hwy 76) to Florence, at fourth stoplight bear to right on to Second Loop Rd. (Hwy 51). Follow Second Loop Rd. (Hwy 51) through eight (8) stoplights. At next stoplight, turn left on to Freedom Blvd. From I-95 heading South: Take exit 164 (US Hwy 52) to Florence; turn left at light off of ramp. Stay straight for twelve (12) stoplights. At next stoplight, turn left on to Hwy 51; go down to the next stoplight and turn left on to Freedom Blvd. From I-20 heading East: I-20 ends in Florence and becomes David McLeod Blvd. Stay straight for four stoplights; bear right at the fifth stoplight on to Evans Street. Evans Street turns into Second Loop Rd. (Hwy 51). Stay straight for eight lights; turn left on to Freedom Blvd. From Hwy 301 (Palmetto Street) heading West: At fork in the road, bear right on to Cheves Street. Go through two (2) stoplights. At next light turn left on to Church Street. Stay straight for four (4) stoplights. At next light, turn left on to Hwy 51. Go to next stoplight; turn left on to Freedom Blvd. Major landmark Carolina Hospital System at the intersection of Hwy 51 and Freedom Blvd. Along all routes at the major intersections, you will see Teal Green directional signs with the Freedom Florence Logo pointing the way to Freedom Florence.

 

The Commons Fields "Old Air Force Base" 

Located at the former Air Force Base. Take 17 By-pass south until you get to Hwy. 707. At the intersection, turn left into the base. Turn right on Meyers Street.

Waccamaw Park - Fields A, B and C: From Myrtle Beach, take 501 towards Conway and pass Coastal Carolina University. Highway 501 will split, bear right onto 501 Business and you will be on the right of the "Welcome to Conway" sign. Continue to the second light, take a right at the light. This is Highway 90. Approximately three and a half miles down is is Lee's Landing Circle. Make a left here and you will come to the Waccamaw Park, fields A, B, and C. McNeil Park - Fields D, E, and F: Where the Waccamaw Park Fields end, take a left. This is Sterritt Swamp Road. Fields D, E, and F are a quarter mile down the road.

Entering Aynor on 501 coming from Myrtle Beach, take a right at the first redlight at Exxon Station (Hardees will be on your left).  Proceed to the stop sign.  Take a right at this stopsign and this will put you on Hwy 319. Follow Hwy 319 for 3 to 4 miles until you get to Vereen Road, take a left and you will see the baseball complex and Grace Church.

Pepper Geddings Complex is located off Oak Street. From the Hwy. 17 By-pass, take 29th Ave. North east (towards the ocean) turn left onto Oak Street. Turn left on 32nd Ave. Fields are at the end of the street.

Hwy. 17 Bypass into Pawleys Island. At the Traffic light of Hwy. 17 and Waverly Road turn RIGHT (Walgreens will be on your left).  Drive until you reach a four way stop.  At the stop sign, turn LEFT onto Kings River Road. From KINGS HWY/ US-17 BR N. Follow KINGS HWY/ US-17 BR N. You will pass Tanger Outlets on your right and Bass Pro Shops and Myrtle Beach Mall will be on your left. Continue on for two more miles. Turn left on Possom Trot Road before you get to Krispy Kreme. Turn on the first street to right, Outrigger Road, to get to Fields 1 and 2. Fields 1 and 2 will be on your left and you will need to park only in parking lot behind the ballfields. Do not park in restaurant parking lot as your car may be towed. Field 3 will be slightly down Possum Trot Road on your left. Take first entrance into parking lot and park in parking lot behind ballfield only.
